We have made it to Auckland, just got in about 2 hours ago (its currently 10:20am on Thursday the 5th). The flight went well, I finally got to see Slumdog Millionaire! We took a cab straight to the "Backpackers Car Market" to see about buying a car. We found one we like, a Toyota Minivan with the back already converted to a bed haha! All the cars for sale here are like that. Some even come with pots and pans so you can catch and cook your own food - I don't think we'll be getting that primitive. Its getting a safety inspection right now so we are killing time in an internet cafe. We will have to stay the night in Auckland tonight, to get the car stuff sorted out. Plus is drizzling right now, not exactly ideal weather to learn how to drive on the opposite side of the car AND the opposite side of the highway. So we will just lay low and get an actual plan established. That's about it for now. I'm still nervous/excited/don't know what I'm doing but we'll get more comfortable, its only first day!
(At Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World this afternoon)

Katy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you/jealous of you!! I am picturing you under a hut and it's raining and then you're going to get in some shabby car with a stearing wheel on the right and some man sleeping in a bed in the back after eating some fresh fish that he just cooked on the make-shift car stove!
I love it and I can't wait to read more :)

Exciting!! What's it like in the future..? : / Which reminds me... LOST tonight. Don't forget to keep up via full-length episodes on abc.com so that we can talk about it.
PS - Did you think of me when you saw the dance at the end of Slumdog??
I ditto everything Wern said, but i think the minivan sounds pretty great too, you are going to have soo much fun. i hope you meet some hot kiwis soon :)
